“I called Doug’s number and he answered immediately. I was highly upset about a situation between my husband and me. Doug talked me off the ledge [while I was] sitting in a parking lot while waiting for donuts for our kids. He was able to meet with both my husband and I by 5:00 that evening. Two years later we are still meeting with Doug and we are stronger than ever. Both independently and as a couple.”

On-Demand Therapy On Your  Schedule

You’re going about your day — moving through your typical routine. All of a sudden an explosive event occurs, like:

  • You and your partner just had a screaming match over breakfast — you’re terrified they’ll walk out on you.

  • You and your aging parents get into a heated argument about their living situation — you’re afraid they’re no longer able to take care of themselves.

  • You and your coworkers had a disagreement over the project you’re working on — you’re worried your manager might hear about it and fire you.

In the midst of an emotional crisis like this, you may not feel comfortable talking to your friends or family. You’d rather speak with a professional clinical voice. Someone who can help you navigate the complexities — and help you manage the situation so you can find the comfort level you are seeking.

But after a quick search of the internet, it seems like all of the therapists you come across:

  • Have no immediate availability.

  • Aren’t accepting new patients.

  • Can’t work around your schedule.

I know how frustrating this can be. That’s why I created the Doug-on-Demand service option.

I’m Doug Lormand, a relationship therapist who helps individuals and couples through their emotional crises — and I’m available to see you within 48 hours or less.

After working with clients for over a decade, I've seen first-hand how accessing professional help in crucial moments propels you toward healing. Therapy amid crisis situations is a powerful and effective tool.

That's why I try my best to work around your schedule. So you don’t have to sit on a waitlist and finally talk to a therapist about a complex topic weeks after it occurred.

How Does This On-Demand Therapy Service Work?

Doug-on-Demand is a unique and unorthodox service that you probably haven’t seen anywhere else. So you might be wondering, “how does this work?”

It’s a simple 3-step process to get started:

  • Fill in your contact information and pay for your session. Start by submitting some basic details like your name, phone number, and email address. You’ll also pay for the session (a flat rate of $225).

  • Complete the required patient forms. Check your inbox for an email from me with your new client forms. Once you’ve secured a session, we’ll need to get the proper documentation secured. If you’re a new patient, you’ll need to fill out the New Patient forms through the secure, online platform.

  • Be ready for a call. After I have received your forms, I’ll review them to ensure all the vital information is included. Then, expect a timely response from me personally. Once the connection has been established and you are comfortable, our session will begin — and you’ll be one step closer to managing what feels out of control or uncomfortable.

The beauty of on-demand therapy is that I'm here for you, as soon as possible. It’s a quick and efficient way for us to connect without the hassle of booking an appointment that’s weeks away.

My Approach to On-Demand Therapy

Hi, I’m Doug, the relationship therapist behind Doug-on-Demand. I’m a couples and sex therapist who specializes in high-conflict struggles around the topics of sex and money.

Over the last few years, I saw firsthand how the pandemic affected people’s relationships. When disagreements and problems exploded, oftentimes my clients were just looking for a professional to talk to.

So I developed Doug-on-Demand with one goal in mind for my clients: if you need me, reach out and I’m there.

This on-demand therapy gives you a mechanism to support what you need to manage or work through  — in real-time. I do this by drawing on my expertise, training, and education, including:

  • AASECT Certified Sex Therapist

  • Choice Theory Advanced Training

  • Master of Education in Counseling

  • Master of Science in Human Resource Development

In addition to my extensive education, I draw on a number of evidence-based approaches and techniques to help my clients resolve their relationship problems, such as:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • The Gottman Method

  • Choice Theory

  • Polarity Management

With these tools, I can help you manage the tensions in your relationships and learn how to make better choices — so you can cultivate healthier, happier relationships in your life.

65% of psychologists have no openings for new patients.² But you need to talk to a licensed relationship therapist immediately. So don’t wait to get help — reach out to me today.

Doug-on-Demand is a unique type of service that very few others offer. So it’s understandable that you might have some questions about the process and how this works. For the answers, keep reading to learn more.

  • How soon can we meet?
Once you fill out the contact form, pay for the session, and submit your New Client Forms, you’ll get a call from me by the end of the day. Or within 24 hours if it’s an after-hours or late night request.
  • Do I have to be an existing client to schedule an on-demand therapy session?
No, you don’t have to be an existing client. With on-demand therapy, it’s typical for me to see a mix of existing and new clients — because this type of therapy is for anyone going through an emotional or relationship crisis. But if you are a new client, you’ll be required to submit the New Client Forms before the start of our session.
  • How much does Doug-on-Demand cost?
Each session costs $225 for up to 90 minutes of time to work with me. I understand how on-demand access to a sex, couples, and relationship therapist can be a powerful and effective tool — especially during emotional crises. So I make it easy and clear to work with me by charging a flat, upfront rate. Once you fill out the contact form, you’ll be directed to the payment page, where all major credit cards are accepted.
  • Do you accept insurance for on-demand sessions?
No, I don’t accept insurance for these sessions.
  • Will our on-demand therapy session be in-person?
No, all sessions will take place virtually or when other arrangements have been made. When you fill out your basic information on the contact form, please make sure to include a valid phone number. This will be the number I’ll call to start our session together.
  • Do I have to live in Texas, Louisiana, or Colorado to use this service?
Yes, I’m licensed to treat clients only in these states.
  • What if I’m experiencing a medical emergency?
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 911 immediately.
