“[After working with Doug,] my husband and I have found that we not only can relate and communicate better with each other. But we also are so much more secure in ourselves. Which gives each of us the confidence to encourage and support each other. This is the strongest our relationship has ever been.”

Intensive Couples Therapy That Works
Are you and your partner disagreeing over everything lately? Does it feel like it’s a struggle to find common ground and you’re often at odds with each other about your:
-
Financial situation and money-related issues.
-
Sex life and intimate conversations in the relationship.
-
Ethical Non-Monogamy and the challenges.
-
Desirability, attractiveness, and physical appearance.
-
Religious or Political beliefs, values, and behaviors.
In the past, you’ve been able to resolve concerns and communicate with one another. You enjoyed each other’s presence and felt so intimately connected. You thought your bond was unbreakable and you might be able to weather anything — but that doesn’t seem like the case now?
Are you finding yourself feeling disconnected, afraid, distrustful, and lonely? Do these questions seem to run through your head on a loop?
-
Where should we go from here?
-
How do we “fix” things between us?
-
Is divorce or separation the only option left?
-
What if a roommate, non-intimate relationship is the only way to live together?
-
Who's idea was it to get away from what was working well?
-
Can we be in sync again?
If you're anything like other couples in this situation, you’ve been thinking about working with a therapist. But you’re not sure if an hour each week is enough to dive deep into your relationship.
All you can picture is the juggling act it would take to fit those weekly appointments into your schedule — not to mention rushing across town to get to the office on time. How would you have time to reflect on your discussion and implement a solution with such a packed schedule?
Maybe you don’t have six months to slowly manage the topics in your life on a weekly basis. Are you looking for a more effective way to manage this topic?
Because you and your partner haven’t been on the same page in quite a while — there’s a lot to unpack. How can you handle a mountain’s worth of problems in thirty-minute or hour increments over a series of months?
At times like these, intensive couples therapy can be the best way to get your relationship back on track.
This therapy is designed to dive deep into your relationship — and get to the root cause of your issues. It can also help you immediately:
-
Halt the negative patterns of behavior and disrupt the painful emotions.
-
Open the lines of communication and reverse the damage done by years of strife.
-
Kickstart the healing process and begin changing your views towards one another.
This high-compression therapy could be the solution that helps you turn your relationship around — and come back from the brink of a decision you can’t take back.
Imagine you and your partner sitting down, in the comfort of your home or office. You invite an experienced sex, couples, and relationship therapist to guide you toward success. So you can take your time, address the topics you want to discuss, and not feel rushed by a short 50-minute session.
You’ll gain access to a crystal clear understanding of where you were before this intensive therapy session — and where you and your partner stand afterward.
Intensive couples therapy could change your life — and it might just be the piece you’ve been missing.
Why Choose Intensive Therapy With Doug?
In the last decade, I’ve worked with hundreds of couples struggling to cope with the challenges in their relationships — and facilitated quite a few intensive therapy sessions too. Some of the most common things I’ve noticed about couples is they get to a point where they’re:
-
Living as roommates or friends.
-
Refusing to communicate — or not knowing how.
-
Feeling despair and misery in the presence of each other.
-
Sticking to patterns or behaviors that no longer work.
So however you feel and whatever you’re going through, know that you’re not alone. There are many couples out there experiencing similar situations.
This is why I offer this comprehensive and unorthodox service — it’s also why I come to you (even if I have to hop on a plane). Because I want you to deepen your relationship and move forward in a short amount of time. So you don’t have to wait to solve your problems.
Besides my past experience working with other couples like you, I’ve also made sure to stay up-to-date on the latest training, research, and education when it comes to sex, couples, and relationship therapy. My licenses and certifications include:
-
AASECT Certified Sex Therapist
-
Choice Theory Advanced Training
-
Gottman Level 3 Training
-
Master of Education in Counseling
-
Master of Science in Human Resource Development
During our intensive therapy session, you and your partner will receive my full, undivided attention and focus for a few hours — or an entire day. I’ll ensure the conversation moves in a productive direction by drawing on evidence-based approaches like:
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
The Gottman Method
-
Choice Theory
-
Polarity Management
My goal is to offer the highest level of intensive and transformative care for you and your partner. So if you and your partner find yourself relating to these situations…
-
You are on the brink of a major life change (like marriage or bankruptcy).
-
You want rapid results and quick progress — not going through traditional, one-hour-a-week therapy.
-
You want to take an in-depth look at your relationship conflicts, level up, and strengthen your bond.
…then don’t hesitate to reach out to me to set up your initial consultation.
What People Are Saying…
How Does Intensive Therapy Work?
While many couples consider working with a relationship, sex, and couples therapist, it can often feel like a lengthy process to get results. So it’s understandable that traditional therapy might not be the best route for you and your partner.
But intensive therapy is set up differently. It’s designed so you can move quickly through the steps, get down to work, and see quick progress in your relationship.
Keeping in line with this idea, I set up a simple 3-step process for you to achieve the success you’re looking for:
-
Contact Me — start by filling out the contact form. I’ll get back to you shortly to set up our initial consultation.
-

-

Whether you’re new to the therapy world or you’ve seen a therapist before, you and your partner are only a few steps away from healing your relationship.
-

-
Do I have to be an existing client to schedule an on-demand therapy session? No, you don’t have to be an existing client. With on-demand therapy, it’s typical for me to see a mix of existing and new clients — because this type of therapy is for anyone going through an emotional or relationship crisis. But if you are a new client, you’ll be required to submit the New Client Forms before the start of our session.
-
How much does Doug-on-Demand cost? Each session costs $225 for up to 90 minutes of time to work with me. I understand how on-demand access to a sex, couples, and relationship therapist can be a powerful and effective tool — especially during emotional crises. So I make it easy and clear to work with me by charging a flat, upfront rate. Once you fill out the contact form, you’ll be directed to the payment page, where all major credit cards are accepted.
-
Do you accept insurance for on-demand sessions? No, I don’t accept insurance for these sessions.
-
Will our on-demand therapy session be in-person?No, all sessions will take place virtually or when other arrangements have been made.
